As Jim Hudson’s Director of Public Relations, Josh leads all programs and partnerships with the South Carolina Military and Law Enforcement including the Regular Army, Navy, Air Force, Reserve, National Guard, SC Guard South Carolina Highway Patrol, Richland County Sheriff’s Department, Columbia Police Department and more. He takes great pride in serving those who serve and have served our country and community. Waters received his Bachelor of Science at Gardner-Webb and went on to complete his Masters degree at Mississippi State University. He started his career in the NFL’s athletics training department. Josh’s passion for athletics led him to continue his work in the sports marketing industry with positions at Vanderbilt, Indiana University and South Carolina University. Not only did Josh manage the sports marketing for these colleges, but he also became the point of contact for all Military and Law Enforcement Public Affairs. It was with his work that the Gamecock’s athletics department was named the number one athletic supporter for the US Army eight years in a row, earning Josh Waters a 2016 Nomination for the prestigious Bob Hope Award.
